The Department of Transport and Development of Road Infrastructure of Moscow has developed requirements for taxi companies that will transport viewers of the 2018 World Cup. This is reported on Monday on the website of the Moscow City Hall.
It is noted that accreditation for the work of companies during the championship will start from the first half of 2018. “We recommend that drivers learn standard phrases in English, for example, they should be able to tell foreign tourists about tariffs, voice the travel time or the shortest way to the right place,” the words of the deputy mayor, head of the department transport and development of the road and transport infrastructure of Maxim Lixutov.
The department has developed special memos containing an English-Russian phrase book, a schedule of matches, schemes for parking taxi stands at stadiums, emergency telephone numbers and advice to drivers on the safety of transportation. “Our goal is to exclude situations where a guest of the championship can be deceived by unscrupulous taxi drivers,” Lixutov said.
To get accreditation, taxi companies need to meet several mandatory requirements. Among them – the lack of unpaid fines for drivers, the age of cars should not exceed four years. “The body of Moscow cars should be yellow, near Moscow – white with yellow and gray stripes.Taxi must be equipped with an identification lantern on the roof, a color scheme, a yellow state registration plate, and place information about the driver and tariffs in the cabin,” reads the message.
In addition, taxi companies are recommended to take a unified approach to pricing on fixed routes to airports, stations, stadiums, hotels. Matches of the World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia. The Russian team will play in Group A, where he will play against the teams of Saudi Arabia (June 14, Moscow), Egypt (June 19, St. Petersburg) and Uruguay (June 25, Samara).
