The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) on the eve of the New Year receives calls for inflating prices for food in Russia, but sees no reason to conduct appropriate checks.
“The FAS central office receives such complaints, but the prices are determined by the ratio of demand and supply, depend on the market conditions and decisions that are independently taken by market participants,” the service representative said. At the moment, there are no reasons for inspections, added the Service representative.
