The deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Gromyko, called on Turkey to accelerate the abolition of the complicated rules for the import of Russian agricultural products. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation after the meeting in Moscow Gromyko with Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture of Turkey Mehmed Danish.

“The deputy minister said that it is necessary to abolish the additional procedure for obligatory certification of invoices by Russian consulates in Russia when delivering certain types of Russian agricultural products (wheat, butter, corn, rice, peas), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation noted.

Earlier, Eugene Gromyko reported TASS that additional complications for the supply of Russian agricultural products from Turkey have been virtually abolished, there is no excessive barriers for now. He noted that the Turkish side agreed with the cancellation of additional certification of the invoices.

In October 2017, Turkey imposed new restrictions on agricultural products from the Russian Federation, which affect the export of wheat, unrefined sunflower oil, corn and other products. According to additional requirements, suppliers need to certify invoices. Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev noted that Russia hopes for a complete lifting of restrictions for Russian agricultural producers.
