In Russia, there will be several dozen additional road signs and tablets.
New road signs will inform road users, in particular, about the prohibition of entry to the intersection in case of congestion, diagonal pedestrian crossing, deaf pedestrians.
Also, at the crossroads where there is no intensive movement of pedestrians or cyclists, there will be a sign “Give way to everyone, and you can right”, which allows you to turn right to the red light, if this does not interfere with other traffic participants. On the roads where the tram tracks are separated from the flow of cars, the sign “Dedicated tramway strip” will appear, Izvestia writes referring to the preliminary national standard.
According to the publication, the preliminary national standard will be valid until November 1, 2020. On its basis Rosstandart will develop the final version of the national standard. In the test mode, the new signs will first be introduced in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir and Saratov, and then in other cities of Russia.
