Such warm weather in December happens once in ten years, the chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological office Tatyana Pozdnyakova informed RBC.
“The weather will be rainy. On Saturday, 3-5 degrees is expected, on Sundays 0-4 degrees. The heat peak from Saturday to Sunday can reach record levels, “she noted.
According to Pozdnyakova, only on Saturday can fall from 5 to 12 mm of precipitation. “On Sunday, too, rain is expected, passing into the snow. During the Sunday the temperature will drop. On Monday, there will already be a negative temperature, and on the street it will be very slippery. It will be a very difficult situation on the roads – ice cover and a lot of snow will make traffic difficult, “she concluded.
Earlier weather forecasters said that the air temperature in Moscow at the beginning of the New Year holidays will be above the norm by 6 degrees – the air will warm up to zero degrees.
